Empowering the Future of Medical Research in Iraq
The Royal College of Physicians – Iraq Network is pleased to announce the launch of an advanced training program titled “Capacity Building of Conducting and Publishing Medical Research.”
This comprehensive educational initiative is designed to equip higher-stage medical students, junior doctors, and physicians interested in research with essential skills to:
Understand evidence-based medicine (EBM) and its connection to research
Develop and structure research protocols
Apply biostatistics in a practical, accessible manner
Critically appraise scientific literature
Master academic writing techniques for successful publication
Uphold ethical standards in conducting and publishing medical research
The program will be delivered online via Zoom in six modules, each lasting two hours and combining expert lectures with interactive discussions and practical exercises.
Led by Dr. Shakir Mahmood Muhammed and Dr. Hasanen Al-Taiar, the program reflects a deep commitment to advancing research knowledge and fostering a culture of academic excellence in Iraq’s medical community.
The sessions will commence on Thursday, July 3rd, 2025. Further details regarding registration and participation will be shared soon.
تمكين مستقبل البحث الطبي في العراق
يسر شبكة الكلية الملكية للأطباء في العراق الإعلان عن إطلاق برنامج تدريبي متقدم بعنوان “بناء القدرات في إجراء ونشر البحوث الطبية”.
يهدف هذا البرنامج إلى تزويد طلبة الطب في المراحل المتقدمة، الأطباء المقيمين، وكل من لديه اهتمام بالبحث العلمي، بالمهارات اللازمة في:
فهم الطب المبني على الأدلة وعلاقته بالبحث العلمي
إعداد وتصميم بروتوكولات البحث
استخدام الإحصاء الحيوي بشكل مبسط وفعّال
التقييم النقدي للأبحاث والمقالات العلمية
احتراف كتابة المقالات الأكاديمية للنشر في المجلات العلمية
الالتزام بالمعايير الأخلاقية في إجراء ونشر البحوث
سيُنفذ البرنامج عبر الإنترنت باستخدام منصة Zoom، ويتضمن ست وحدات تدريبية، مدة كل منها ساعتان، تجمع بين المحاضرات التفاعلية والنقاشات والتطبيق العملي.
يقود البرنامج الدكتور شاكر محمود محمد والدكتور حسنين الطيار، في خطوة تعكس الالتزام الحقيقي بدعم المعرفة البحثية وتعزيز ثقافة التميز الأكاديمي في الوسط الطبي العراقي.
