Dear colleagues,
At the kind invitation of the President of the RCP, Dr. Mumtaz Patel, a team from the RCP Iraq Network, represented by Dr. Hilal Bahjat Al-Saffar, President of the Network and Advisor to the College in Iraq; Dr. Aram Mirza, Advisor to the College in Iraq; and Dr. Amal Al-Marayati, Chair of the Network’s Scientific Committee, visited the RCP at Regent’s Park on 28 April 2025.
During the meeting, several discussions took place that support and enhance the work of the Network, building on the successes achieved over the past four years since the network’s establishment. Among the most important topics discussed were:
- Sharing the Network’s activities through the College’s website and social media.
- Holding training courses by Royal College experts, both in person and virtually, in Iraq, covering topics such as medical education, medical leadership, and postgraduate training.
- Discussing the ongoing work to organize the RCP UK PACES examinations in Iraq.
- Conducting scientific activities by the College in Iraq, covering various internal medicine specialities, with the awarding of CPD credits.
- Discussing ways to facilitate the training process for Iraqi postgraduate trainees in the UK.
Several key outcomes have been achieved, which will be announced shortly.
Many thanks to all members of the steering committee of the RCP Iraq Network, who have demonstrated their sincerity and love for Iraq, along with their dedication to diligent and effective work, away from the noise and fuss.
This has led Iraq to rank first globally in the number of members and Fellows of the RCP, and they have proudly earned the respect and recognition of the Royal College.
Their motto has always been “Let your work speak for you.”

الزملاء الاكارم
بدعوة كريمة من رئيسة الكلية الملكية البريطانية لندن , الدكتورة ممتاز باتل, قام فريق من شبكة زملاء الكلية الملكية في العراق متمثلا بالدكتور هلال بهجت الصفار رئيس الشبكة ومستشار الكلية في العراق, الدكتور ارام ميرزا مستشار الكلية في العراق والدكتورة امال المراياتي رئيسة اللجنة العلمية للشبكة بزيارة مقر الكلية الملكية في لندن/ ريجنت بارك في 28 نيسان 2025.
تم اثناء الاجتماع مناقشة عدة امور ومشاريع تصب في دعم وتطوير عمل الشبكة بعد النجاحات المتحققة خلال السنوات الاربعة منذ تاسيسها. ومن اهم المحاور التي تمت مناقشتها:
• مشاركة نشاطات الشبكة من قبل الموقع الالكتروني للكلية ووسائط التواصل الاجتماعي.
• اقامة دورات تدريبية من قبل خبراء الكلية الملكية حظوريا في العراق وفرضيا تتناول مواضيع التعليم الطبي والقيادة الطبية وتدريب طلاب الدراسات العليا.
• مناقشة العمل الحثيث على اجراء امتحانات الكليات الملكية البريطانية MRCP UK PACES في العراق.
• اقامة نشاطات علمية تتناول العديد من اختصاصات الباطنية من قبل الكلية في العراق مع منحها نقاط تعليم مستمر.
• مناقشة تيسير عملية تدريب طلاب الدراسات العليا العراقيين في بريطانيا.
تم التوصل الى العديد من النتائج المهمة ستظهر الى العلن قريبا ان شاء الله تعالى
شكرا جزيلا لكافة اعضاء اللجنة القيادية لشبكة زملاء الكلية في العراق الذين اثبتو اصالتهم وحبهم للعراق الحبيب وتفانيهم في العمل الجاد والمثمر بعيدا عن الضوضاء والصخب بحيث اوصلو العراق للمرتبة الاولى عالميا بعدد اعضاء وزملاء الكلية الملكية ونالو بفخر احترام وتقدير الكلية الملكية وكان شعارهم دوما ” دع عملك يتحدث عنك”.
